This is an extremely easy toy to transform, and my 3-year-old son loves it. All you have to do it set it down on the tailpipe and gravity does all the work. It's just as easy to change back into the car form by putting back down on the wheels. It also rolls very well in the car form (something I worried about before purchasing it). Older kids might find such a toy boring since the arms and legs don't move, but my son hasn't discovered the joys of action figures yet.
